The neat thing about a digital camera - stick it in a hole, push
the button
and get an instant view from an impossible perspective
these are the same bolts as viewed from behind, under the floor
Those darn bolts ain't budging - time for the ol' PB Blaster and a big freakin' hammer!
Well that didn't work...and I was making an awful racket back there
so on to plan "B"
move the fuselage into the garage where I can make all the noise
I want
I was going to make a tail stand but the old Harbor Freight 12 ton
press with a 4x4 on top
just happened to be exactly the correct height
I also went back to the airport and picked up the prop
Great, just what I need - something else to polish!
I also picked up a copy of the September issue of Pacific Flyer
which was sporting a prophetically appropriate cover article
Here's one of the new ribs for the horizontal stab that I fabricated
And finally as the sun sets on another day the displaced Alfa prepares to move into it's new temporary home.
