I'm home from work today with
HDF. What's HDF, you ask? We call it Honkin' Dave Flu. You see we have
this old guy in our vanpool named Dave. He's a Mormon and doesn't swear
so it's always honkin' this and honkin' that or potlicker or whatever
else he can come up with to sit in for a needed swear word. So we call
him Honkin' Dave. Anyway - he's never taken a sick day in his
life so of course he's riding in the back of the van with the flu
and spreading it to everyone. Me and Smitty are the drivers so we sit
up front with the blower on hurricane setting and we seemed to be safe
from it until last Thursday night when Honkin' Dave was getting out of
the van. He's the last one to get out (besides us) and he's clamoring
over the seats with his big bag of newspapers and magazines that he's
been carrying back and forth to work everyday for the past 15 years and
when he gets to the doors, right behind me he goes
AAHHHCHOOOPPPPBLLL!!!! - AAHHHCHOOOPPPPBLLL!!!!! (the PPPPBLLL is
supposed to simulate his lips quivering and the cloud of virus infested
spittle eminating from the deepest reaches of his festering lungs)
Yea - one for me and one for
Smitty. Thanks Dave....
What
A
Friggin'
Mess!!!
Saturday I finally beat the HDF and took the Maule out for a jaunt but
I still wasn't 100%
I flew over to Livermore and spent about half an hour talking to a
friend in close proximity to
a polished P-51 and an olive drab P-40 and didn't take a single picture
What the hell was I thinking?
Back at the shop - a malfunctioning VCR sub-project
distractions, distractions, distractions!
I'm not even going to mention the kitchen sink leakage, pluggage,
bubbles under the tile fiasco - don't ask...
Okay, back at it finally - even though the mess is not yet cleaned up.
Here's the tail

I'm still experimenting with processes here but I think I've got it down
The tax refund arrived yesterday - I'm ready to put in that order for
the cyclo polisher
I know - I just got over the Honkin' Dave Flu but heck, this stuffs
only what...7.5% alcohol?
Don't pay attention to that wino cork - I have no idea where that came
from
